Epsilon Iota Hosts a "Fondue and Learn" for CASA

This Monday, February 7th, the ladies of Epsilon Iota hosted a "Fondue and Learn" for those who wanted to participate in Epsilon Iota's next philanthropy event, "Cupids for CASA" and wanted to learn more about CASA (National Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children), which is Kappa Alpha Theta's national philanthropy. At the event, a power point presentation was presented on CASA, why CASA is important, and how Theta helps CASA. Epsilon Iota's own Amanda Loyd and Lee Goatley spoke about their personal experiences with CASA and how working with CASA has influenced their lives. Guests were able to enjoy an array of sweets and goodies to dip in chocolate after the presentation.
CASA appoints volunteers to help children who are going through the legal system by providing a voice and safe home for the children. These children have been removed from their homes and placed in the legal system due to neglect and/or abuse.
Kappa Alpha Theta helps CASA by raising money and awareness for the program.
A special shout out goes to Alyssa Baker and Camille Stiegler who organized the event!
